This was a class project and the aim was to create the perfect studio for myself. I chose to focus on the exterior and used a foam core board in warm white to showcase the pleasant feeling of working in an outdoor setting.
The model includes a balance of straight edges and curves to provide an organic look to it. Windows, planters, and the seating area are all examples of the same. Moreover, different backdrops have been used to showcase the difference light can create in regards to ambience and details.
I also explored model-making for seating arrangements specifically and the goal was to navigate through different structures and multiple iterations in white. Concepts of lounge chairs, stools, and deck chairs were explored. The strengths and limitations of foam core were understood through this process.
