Sheet metal project collaborating with David Alano, creating a series of seating arrangements and necessary accessories for the same. We started by creating mood boards, elaborating on different ideas we could explore with a 12x12 inch metal sheet.
We used different hand tools and equipment such as the band saw, spot welder, and slip roller to create curves for our furniture models. Recreating the same structures was a difficulty we faced, but we were able to overcome it by improvising and adopting a slightly new structure when possible.
These open curved structures are perfect for an outdoor environment, such as the beach or poolside as they have a relaxed feel to them.
